Manuport Logistics (MPL) has established a shipping service between Antwerp-West (Belgium) and Santos (Brazil). This is the first Manuport Logistics-operated shipping service. It aims to reduce congestion in the market by offering extra capacity on the route. Manuport will be exclusively operating the containers slots on deck of a rotating bulk vessel.

“The plan is not to compete with the well-established shipping lines, but to offer an extra dedicated service between the two biggest markets in which Manuport is specialized, namely Europe and LATAM,” explains Ken Joris, CCO at Manuport Logistics. “The service will primarily be filled by our existing customers, but is open to new customers, BCOs, shipping lines, and forwarders.”

“I’m very happy we can offer our customers, both in Brazil and in Belgium, a solution during this shipping crisis,” says Davidson Rodrigues, Managing Director Brazil. “When creating our first shipping service, we kept our customers’ requirements in mind, including their need for dependable and fast port-to-port shipping times, and the flexibility to transport multiple container types.” Manuport Logistics has well-established offices in both Belgium and Brazil, enabling the company to effectively manage transport flows between the two main ports. Furthermore, with a port-to-port shipping time of 14 days, Manuport Logistics’ new service offers the fastest transit time in the current market. With a vessel leaving every 4 weeks, customers can ship 20ft, 40ft, ISO tanks, and reefer containers via Manuport Logistics. There is currently space available on the next three shipments, with a first ETD from Antwerp-West on November 3, 2021. The further planned sailings are on December 12, 2021, and January 17, 2022. The first ETD from Santos is on October 11, 2021. The further sailings from Santos are on December 9, 2021, and January 1, 2022.
